Job Summary

The Marina Harbour Attendant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marina facilities. This dynamic individual will be responsible for providing exceptional support to yacht owners and crews, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with berthing and un-berthing of yachts, ensuring timely and efficient turnaround.
  • Operate the Fuel Dock with precision and accuracy, minimizing downtime and optimizing fuel usage.
  • Transport guests around the marina using a buggy, providing a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Maintain the buggy's optimal condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure all boats are properly moored and fendered at all times, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Tow and line-handle with the marina workboat, supporting various operations and tasks.
  • Monitor berth occupancy, licence validity, electricity, and water usage, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Enforce marina rules and regulations, promoting a culture of compliance and respect.
  • Book yachts, allocate berths, issue licences and invoices, and receive payments, ensuring seamless financial transactions.
  • Liaise with authorities such as police, customs, and immigration, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Issue keys and security passes, monitoring marina security and taking proactive measures to prevent breaches.
  • Maintain accurate records and diaries, tracking progress and identifying trends.
  • Assist with boat handling and yard operations, supporting various projects and initiatives.
  • Support special events and promotions, contributing to the overall success and growth of our marina.
Requirements
  • A valid Class 3 Driving Licence is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of primary/secondary education or equivalent is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in academics.
  • At least one year of experience in a related field is preferred, but a willingness to learn and adapt is also valued.
