Leadership Role in Data Centre Operations

This is a leadership position that oversees the management and control of plant, mechanical, and electrical systems within a data centre. A successful candidate will possess experience in operating electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site operations, including hiring, motivation, development, training, and discipline of technicians and maintenance teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and uptime requirements.
  • Support site reviews, encompassing maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, and operational risk.
  • Ensure delivery of planned and reactive activities using a computerised maintenance management system platform within financial targets.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the data centre operations manager and client critical facilities manager.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical, or operational engineering.
  • At least 3 years' experience in electrical and mechanical services operation in Tier III or equivalent data centres.
  • Resourceful, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
