**Job Title:** Network Security Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive security for all network and firewall devices.

This involves being responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of these devices, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Administration: Administer Cisco, Fortinet, and F5 environments.
  • Patch Assessment and Deployment: Perform assessments and recommend/plan deployment of patches.
  • Automation of Pre and Post Patching Tasks: Automate tasks related to patching, including pre- and post-patching activities.
  • Bios Upgrades and Firmware Upgrades: Upgrade bios and firmware on devices as needed.
  • Log Monitoring/Maintenance: Monitor and maintain logs to ensure optimal system performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in network and firewall administration.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills.
  • SLA Driven Environment: Experience working in a SLA driven environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
  • Availability: Willingness to work on weekends as per roster and perform on-call support during weekdays when needed.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge in ACI, Cisco, Arista, F5, Checkpoint, Paloalto. Familiarity with patch management and vulnerability management tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in patching/firmware upgrade-related issues.
