Senior Data Platform Specialist

Role Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to build scalable and reliable data platforms using Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud-based big data platforms like Databricks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and developing large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient data processing workflows using Spark and Databricks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to optimize data engineering practices.
- Contribute to the development of technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Python programming for data engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying, optimization, and modeling.
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
- Working knowledge of Databricks (Certification preferred).
- Experience with data lakes, warehouses, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Nice-to-Have:
- Databricks Certification (Associate/Professional) – highly preferred.
- Knowledge of streaming frameworks (Kafka, Delta Live Tables).
