As a Senior Software Developer Specialist at Nasdaq Technology, your main focus will be on software development. In this role, you will be joining the Bangalore technology center in India, where innovation and effectiveness are key drivers. In your capacity as a Lead Software/Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering complex technical systems to both new and existing customers. Your role will involve exploring new technologies within the FinTech industry and contributing to the development of a scalable and fault-tolerant data platform. This platform will be responsible for ensuring that data is up to date, accurate, and reliable, by cleaning, transforming, and loading data from various sources in different formats. The engineering team at Nasdaq follows modern development methodologies with short sprints, code review, and continuous deployment. You will be working with a micro-services architecture using AWS, Databricks, and Python, as well as leveraging AI automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data processing pipelines. Transparent communication, teamwork, and shared understanding are highly valued within the organization. Key responsibilities include being an ambitious thinker and problem solver, using your technical knowledge to design, code, test, and customize software solutions, and ensuring that systems software design requirements are met. You should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Development, a solid understanding of Python or Java, experience with AWS, distributed data tools such as Databricks, Spark, Kafka, and relational SQL databases like Postgres and MySQL. It is also essential to be familiar with RESTful API creation, Git, and modern agile software development workflows. Moreover, you will play a role in developing security solutions, program logic for applications, and modifying existing software products to enhance functionality and performance. You will be expected to implement and maintain AI-driven automation processes, utilize machine learning techniques, and develop automated solutions for data cleansing and validation.Additionally, having knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes would be beneficial for this role.
