Vessel Operations Manager Job Description

The Vessel Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of vessels, with a strong focus on technical management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Evaluating and ensuring vessel performance meets regulatory and company expectations, including class and flag state compliance
  • Coordinating and executing operational activities, including budget monitoring and control
  • Maintaining vessel performance records and implementing timely corrective actions as necessary

Responsibilities also include managing assigned vessel budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results-oriented decision making.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is required, with a preference for candidates holding Class 1 COC certification.
