IT Operations Engineer Role Overview

A top-tier trading firm is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join its expanding global team. This role involves supporting, configuring and maintaining multiple systems across all technology stacks, including desktop environments, network infrastructure and various application platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to technical support requests at different levels (L1/L2/L3).
  • Build and configure Windows, Linux and macOS laptops, desktops and servers.
  • Support Windows domain infrastructure, monitor critical systems and optimize ways of working.
  • Participate in automation initiatives using PowerShell to create scalable solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM field.
  • Strong grounding in information technology and networking principles.
  • Hands-on experience in L1/L2/L3 support, system administration, programming, or network engineering.
  • Experience managing Windows Desktop and Server environments in production settings; solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other core Windows administration tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux or macOS platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong scripting or programming experience using PowerShell (Windows) or Bash (Linux).
