Unix and OpenShift Systems Engineer

This is a critical role that requires the expertise of an experienced Unix/Linux administrator, with a strong focus on RHEL system administration and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with managing and maintaining complex systems across development, testing, and production environments.
The ideal candidate will also possess in-depth knowledge of OpenShift container platforms, including design, implementation, and support. Experience with JBoss application servers and Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management is also highly desirable.
We are seeking someone who can take ownership of system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime. Additionally, the ability to develop and maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and processes is essential.
The successful candidate will work closely with our development teams to support application deployment and operations, participating in on-call rotations for critical system support. A strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python), are must-haves.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, specifically RHEL system administration and troubleshooting. Relevant certifications and industry-recognized training programs are also beneficial.
A keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are all essential qualities for this position.
