Marine Firefighting Systems Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Marine Firefighting Systems Specialist to maintain, inspect, and repair marine firefighting systems and equipment on board vessels. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire safety systems and enjoy working in a dynamic marine environment.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair marine firefighting systems and equipment including fire alarms, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers.
  • Perform annual inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with firefighting equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and standards (e.g., SOLAS, IMO).
  • Collaborate with vessel crews and ship staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of firefighting systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in maintaining firefighting systems and equipment, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced marine environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
