Marine Operations Manager



The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day marine operations of assigned Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC) vessels. This role ensures adherence to statutory regulations, industry standards, and company policies.



  • Manage vessel performance and compliance with ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct ship visits and inspections to assess operational standards, safety performance, and crew competence.
  • Provide guidance and support to shipboard management on navigational, safety, and operational matters.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
  • Support the planning and execution of vessel dry-dockings, audits, and safety drills.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Masters, ensuring clear communication and operational alignment.


Requirements:



  • Master Mariner with sea-going experience as Master, preferably on PCTC, Ro-Ro, or similar vessel types.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a shore-based marine superintendent or operational role (PCTC experience highly desirable).
  • In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel visits, inspections, and audits.
  • English and Mandarin mandatory to manage international stakeholders.
