The Workplace Safety and Health Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and health of employees across all applicable business activities. This position requires direct reporting to the CEO, staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Develop and drive the implementation of workplace health and safety plans and programs to continually improve safety and health performance.
- Work with operational teams to identify and assess foreseeable risks through a robust risk assessment and management system.
- Investigate incidents, advise corrective and preventive actions, and assist in generating reports.
- Plan and provide relevant safety training and guidance to promote health and safety awareness.
- Act as the MOM/NEA correspondent to ensure adherence to safety/environmental guidelines and aim for a zero-accident rate.
- A recognized diploma course or bachelor's degree related to environmental and occupational health and safety is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in Safety & Health as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer is required.
- Experience working with MOH or other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare industry would be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in community settings and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also desirable.
