Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

The role of the HSE Officer/Eco is to create a safe working environment on construction sites. This involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to integrate health and safety considerations into project planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Requirements:

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing safety on construction sites.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
