**Job Title:** Train Service Operations Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Train Service Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our train services.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling train operational activities, making logical decisions to meet passenger needs, and coordinating with maintenance staff to deal with unexpected events.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control train operational activities to ensure safe and efficient train services.
  • Regulate and monitor train services closely in accordance with train timetable.
  • Make logical decisions to meet passenger needs.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to deal with unexpected events.
  • Assist in information dissemination to passengers affected by rail incidents at stations.
  • Inform relevant maintenance staff on equipment faults.
  • Manage and control all work possessions and track access according to prescribed rules and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Able to perform rotating shift work including working on weekends and public holidays.
  • Familiar with Operations Control Room environment an added advantage.
