Principal Automation Engineer

The primary role of this position is to develop automation scripts using Cadence SKILL to enhance the design process.
The secondary role involves performing MLC and MLO Design Engineering, working on physical layout, and designing for manufacturability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing automation scripts to reduce design cycle-time and defects.
- Evaluating new tools or features from EDA vendors.
- Designing PCBs for manufacturability and applying best practices to reduce cost and maximize yield.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with a strong background in Electrical Engineering, particularly in PCB design. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with Python, Cadence Allegro, and PCB Design.
- Experience in creating automation scripts using Cadence SKILLS preferred.
- MLC/MLO/PCB Design Experience with significant involvement in analog and mixed-signal design, and interfacing with fab houses to improve manufacturability preferred.
- Strong team player with a track record of consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good computer proficiency (MS Excel).
