5G Protocol Stack Manager Position Summary

This job opening is for an experienced 5G Protocol Stack Manager with a strong background in commercial base station development. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of 4G/5G base station L2/L3 software, working closely with major telecom vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, and ZTE. Key responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with system architects, developers, and testing teams, and ensuring timely delivery and quality of base station solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the entire development process to ensure timely delivery and quality of commercial 4G/5G base station L2/L3 software.
  • Collaborate with system architects, developers, and testing teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of base station solutions.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams in developing commercial 4G/5G base station L2/L3 software.
  • Work with operators to understand their network requirements and lead the team in designing appropriate solutions.
  • Mentor and guide engineers to develop their technical and leadership skills.

Requirements & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in telecom, focusing on 5G technologies and base station development.
  • Experience leading teams and managing commercial base station projects.
  • Experience working with telecom vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, and ZTE.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

The successful candidate should have:

  • Understanding of 5G base station architecture and L2/L3 protocol stack.
  • Familiarity with 5G protocols (e.g., RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
