Job Overview

The role of a Data Centre Specialist is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of data centre facilities. This involves administering and monitoring the health of critical infrastructure services, conducting regular checks on equipment and the data centre environment, and overseeing servicing and maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Data Centre Operations: To support essential fire protection systems, administer and monitor the health of critical infrastructure services, and conduct regular routine checks on facilities equipment and the data centre environment.
  • Maintenance and Servicing: To oversee the regular Data Centre (M&E) Facilities servicing and maintenance of the ITD Data Centres and ensure that Service Reports and documentation are submitted.
  • IMAC Documentation: To manage the IMAC (Install Move Add and Change) documentation of the (M&E) Facilities equipment in Data Centre.
  • Annual Maintenance Plan: To prepare the Annual (M&E) Facilities Maintenance work schedule plan with the appointed Maintenance vendors to ensure maintenance works are in accordance to the maintenance requirements.
  • Incident Management: To follow up with any (M&E) Facilities related issues or incidents that occur in the Data Centre.
  • SOPs Maintenance: To maintain the SOPs for Data Centre.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma level or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management
  • Qualified DC Certification(s)
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in data centre operations (DCFM) with demonstrated track record in management of call handling, incident escalation, vendor management, change request management, service request management
