Senior Product Designer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality products that meet customer requirements. Your primary focus will be on product engineering design, working closely with other engineering functions to ensure manufacturability and quality.
You will perform product design activities including translating customer requirements into product drawings and specifications, conducting design analysis and verification, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA. Additionally, you will ensure product designs are validated per customer requirements and respected international industry standards.
Furthermore, you will take on a project leadership role, defining and reconciling technical DFM with the Process Design team. You will also be responsible for product engineering of assigned product lines and contribute to an integrated team that anticipates and resolves customer dissatisfaction.
Another important aspect of this role is improving product designs to reduce manufacturing costs while ensuring quality and performance.
Requirements- Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years of product design development experience with excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
- Experience in interconnects design industry is desirable, senior/staff position requires excellent design leadership skills and relevant product life-cycle knowledge
- Proficient with mechanical design, solid mechanics theory and its application to product design
- Familiar with CAD/CAE tools such as Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS
- 3D CAD modeling is mandatory
- Familiar with engineering drawing standards
- Working knowledge of connector application, plastic technology, insert-molding, stamping processes is preferred
