Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a senior communications coordinator.

The role will involve coordinating and enhancing information operations at a Whole-of-Government level to support effective and timely public communications.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing plans with stakeholders to guide Whole-of-Government public communications.

Additionally, you will provide situational awareness on Government-related issues impacting public communications efforts and coordinate Whole-of-Government information operations with various agencies and stakeholders for day-to-day incidents and signature events.

Further, you will marshal resources among stakeholders to strengthen Whole-of-Government communications efforts in sensing, analysis, and responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic communication plans to guide Whole-of-Government public communications.
  • Provide situational awareness on Government-related issues impacting public communications efforts.
  • Coordinate Whole-of-Government information operations with various agencies and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of media or communications experience.
  • Good understanding of domestic and international current affairs.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights.
  • Ability to network effectively at all levels, work independently, and as a team player.
  • Strategic thinking to view issues from a Whole-of-Government perspective.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to work under stress and uncertainty during crises.
  • Flexibility to accommodate shift and/or rostered work arrangements.
