Job Title: Senior Policy Executive

The role of the Senior Policy Executive involves leading a team in conducting research, developing and implementing public policies that affect society.

The team will oversee legislative reviews on various acts, regulations and laws that impact citizens.

In addition, the team supports information analysis and collation of international trends on drug abuse, trafficking and control to stay up-to-date with current developments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans to identify relevant research topics and projects that support policy development.
  2. Compile and synthesize findings from various sources to inform policy directions or strategies.
  3. Work with staff to engage internal divisions and external agencies to contribute to policy development that aligns with organisational priorities.
  4. Track and report on the progress of policy-related projects to evaluate their impact and effectiveness.
  5. Provide training to support staff understanding of legislative background, policy context, international developments and their roles and responsibilities.
  6. Procure and manage funded research projects with staff to ensure timely completion.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
  • Interest in research and analytical work.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in policy development or related work is an advantage.
