Job Summary:

A Microbiological Testing Specialist is sought after to perform a variety of microbiological testing and ensure all incoming samples are tested and completed on time.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Diploma in Microbiology/Chemistry/Food Science or related discipline and at least 2 years of relevant working experience in food testing laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological testing and sampling procedures
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of microbiological techniques and test methods
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Ensure quality control procedures are in place and documented
  • Report customer complaints or concerns and take appropriate action
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives and report incidents
  • Perform fieldwork, including on-site sampling and swabbing as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess minimum Diploma in Microbiology/Chemistry/Food Science or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in food testing laboratories
  • Possess work experience in similar or within an accreditation/certification industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
