Role Overview
As a skilled Oracle database administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Taking up technical tasks and supporting day-to-day operations, incidents, and requests for change (RFCs).
- Providing technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues within your scope of expertise.
- Identifying opportunities for service improvements across Oracle/EBS services.
- Maintaining database system infrastructure availability and reliability in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborating with teams to implement lean best practices.
- Engaging in high-severity issue resolution and driving for prompt resolutions.
- Reviewing technology changes to mitigate potential risks.
- Supporting colleagues during diagnostic processes for technical issues within their area of expertise.
- Staying informed about global IT structures to anticipate interdependencies within the organization.
- Collaborating with peers, development teams, service managers, architects, and project teams on technology roadmaps and projects.
- Facilitating transformation projects and proposing future directions for improvement and enhancements.
- Ensuring production readiness.
- Driving technically complex or high-severity incidents that occur within your scope.
- Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends, and incorporating them into our systems where appropriate.
Becoming an Oracle Certified Professional is a plus
