Senior Environment, Health, and Safety Professional

The successful candidate will lead the implementation of HSE procedures, guidelines, standards, and policies in line with international requirements.
This role requires a professional to oversee the development of annual HSE objectives and performance targets. The individual must be able to represent the project team in HSE matters and ensure compliance with national laws, regulations, and protocols.
A key responsibility is to lead and monitor the implementation of HSE legal requirements, national laws/regulations, and protocols within the project. Additionally, the person must guide staff on required HSE training, promote the development of HSE skills and competency, and participate in audits/inspections to report findings to relevant parties.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University. A Master's degree is preferable. Membership of a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/institution is required.
Minimum 15 years' experience in HSE functions and exposure to EPC for major oil & gas projects are essential. At least 5 years' experience in similar HSE senior position in projects for reputable oil & gas operators in an offshore project environment is required.
Familiarity with HSE and Environmental regulatory regimes, international safety engineering codes, and standards, particularly those related to offshore work, is necessary. Experience in development of project HSE related plans, philosophies, and specifications is also required.
