Manulife is seeking a seasoned risk management leader to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and enhancing the company's risk management strategy, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Risk Management will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective enterprise risk management framework. This includes:

  1. Supporting the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in developing and maintaining risk management policies, processes, and systems.
  2. Assisting in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks across the organization.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management processes into organizational strategies and objectives.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Director will also lead and manage the Operational Risk Management Team, develop and execute operational risk management strategies and initiatives, and monitor and assess operational risks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management frameworks and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex risk-related information to diverse stakeholders.
