System Infrastructure Professional

Key responsibilities include:

• System infrastructure management involves overseeing and maintaining the operational integrity of Windows Server environments, encompassing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

• This role requires administering and troubleshooting Active Directory services, including user management, security groups, and Group Policy.

• Responsibilities also involve deploying and managing virtual desktop solutions across the organisation.

• The system professional will implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.

• Configuration and management of Windows-based security solutions are crucial, with a focus on ensuring compliance with established security policies.

• Technical support and guidance for complex Windows-related issues are provided to employees.

• Optimising AWS cloud resources and services is also essential for efficient operations.

• Implementing and maintaining configuration management solutions is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows systems administration is necessary.

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, or Microsoft 365 Certified) are highly valued.

• Strong experience in Active Directory administration, Group Policy management, and Windows Server management is expected.

• Proven experience with virtual desktop solutions (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops) is an advantage.

• Understanding of AWS cloud services and infrastructure is beneficial.

• Experience with configuration management tools is necessary.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)

• Experience with automation tools and scripting

• ITIL certification

• Experience with monitoring tools and systems

• Knowledge of containerisation technologies
