Singapore ASSURITY TRUSTED SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. Full time

Plan, implement and manage the following IT infrastructure to support the digitalisation requirements of MPA and the shipping community, in accordance with the Government’s information security and system resiliency requirements:

- Windows servers administration
- UNIX/Linux administration
- Compliance to IM8 and CSA requirements for IT infrastructure, cyber-security and critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure that IT infrastructure projects are implemented on schedule in accordance to the requirements, quality and security standards of the Authority and Whole of Government (WOG).
- Manage the day-to-day Windows and UNIX/Linux administration including Whole-of-Government IT infrastructure projects.
- Identify, explore and adopt new technologies and solutions into MPA IT infrastructure for enhanced scalability, resiliency and performance, while ensuring a sustainable and lower cost of ownership.
- Develop and maintain standards and best practices in building Windows solutions.
- Manage vendors and product/service contracts.

System Administration
- Implement and manage server virtualisation.
- Manage service levels of vendors/suppliers for IT infrastructure contracts.
- Maintain high availability and optimal performance of the Windows and UNIX/Linux servers.
- Manage security protection on Production, Acceptance and Test computing environments.
- Analyse and solve end user problems related to IT infrastructure.
- Maintain and validate the IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Proactively manage the technology refresh plan to address software and hardware obsolescence.
- Ensure compliance with internal Quality Management System and Government IM8 and CSA requirements for IT and cybersecurity.

Project Management
- Plan, design and implement IT infrastructure architecture.
- Manage and co-ordinate vendors/suppliers and users in maintenance and project rollout.
- Evaluate & introduce new system technologies.
- Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met.
- Draw up, supervise and document testing schedule and results.
- Oversee systems implementation including data migration.

**Requirements**:

- Background in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration of Windows/Unix/Linux servers.
- Detailed knowledge of Windows/Unix server setup, deployment and maintenance.
- Ability to create scripts in Perl, Python, PowerShell and similar languages.
- Experience with databases, patch management, data backup and networks including LAN and WAN.
- Familiar with modern operating systems and server platforms.
- Experience with VMware, Clustering, NetBackup and Nutanix will be an advantage.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, function and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Be prepared to work in a team providing 24x7 support
- Strong documentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
