The role of the Cloud Systems Engineer is pivotal in providing subject matter expertise for Workplace Management. This includes planning, installation, and administration of Workplace environment. The successful candidate will administer Workplace environment, create company images, develop task sequences for OS deployments, review daily operations procedures, and implement new procedures to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of endpoint hardware and images including Operating System, Software/Applications, Drivers, upgrades, updates, and hotfixes.
  • Planning, implementing, and supporting Patch Management and Software Distribution services.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS or Azure infrastructure and services ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of applications.
  • Deploying, configuring, and managing AWS or Azure services such as EC2 instances, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.
  • Collaborating with development teams to architect and deploy cloud-native applications.
  • Implementing and maintaining automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AWS or Azure infrastructure, applications, and connectivity.
  • Implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for AWS or Azure resources.
  • Providing administration of back-end infrastructure services with a focus on PC Imaging.
  • Supporting desktop and server-related escalations pertaining to Workplace Management tools issues.
  • Performing Quality Assurance testing for changes to endpoint devices.
  • Contributing to streamlining of daily operational processes, such as automations.
  • Ensuring smooth running of daily operations.
  • Updating and maintaining proper documentation and reports.
