Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

 

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive mechanical research and development from concept to mass production.
  • Understand clients' needs and create robust designs to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Adopt a design approach that includes hypothesis generation, project planning, calculations, material preparation, characterization, and testing.
  • Initiate market research and propose design changes to improve user experience.
  • Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for designed products.
  • Perform FEA simulations to ensure designs are robust.
  • Draft 3D designs in CAD (Solidworks).
  • Perform hands-on prototyping for functional and aesthetic validation.
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA) for components and designed products.
  • Output relevant files and documentation for suppliers.
  • Finalize designs, generate assembly drawings, and process sheets for the Production department.
  • Develop technical documents and handbooks.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance as required.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to learn and enjoy interacting with people.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Solidworks is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and manage project deliverables effectively.
  • An effective team player.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

 

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions to meet customer requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive mechanical research and development from concept to mass production.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Solidworks is an advantage. The ability to learn and enjoy interacting with people is also essential.
