Job Summary

As a Finance Business Partner at GovTech, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's vision by partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence. You will work closely with business units and management to create a real and active partnership, providing trusted advice and adding value to decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with divisions and project teams to ensure timely completion of month/year-end close activities, including accruals.
  • Monitor and analyze operating revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure utilization against budget and funding sources.
  • Prepare and present financial performance, full-year forecasts, and budget variances to stakeholders, including recommendations and highlighting key areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights to business units for timely decision-making.
  • Partner with divisions and project teams on monthly forecasts, annual budgets, revised budget submissions, and presentations to stakeholders for approval.
  • Monitor fixed and variable costs to understand cost drivers and improve budget marksmanship.
  • Review and provide input on financial-related matters for funding requests, quarterly project reporting, and end-of-project reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, IMs, and government policies.
  • Engage with business units to stay updated on business developments and build strong relationships.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and analysis work or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or a relevant professional accounting qualification with at least 8 years of experience. Prior experience in Finance Business Partner and Technology company is preferred.
  • Sophisticated presentation and storytelling skills to build insightful presentations and effectively communicate business narratives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, stakeholder management, and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, meticulous, and able to work with large amounts of data and perform hands-on tasks.
  • Proficient in Workday, Dashboarding tools, and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Tableau. Programming knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and comfortable in proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change.
