Card Game Localization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Card Game Localization Specialist to oversee the localization and development of card game products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Japanese.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, overseeing development and product of card game products, liaising with Japanese companies for development and production of card game products (80%), translating and localizing products from Japanese to English (20%), and proofreading localized text and product designs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in any field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and oral, in order to liaise with Japanese speaking associates daily
  • Candidate must possess JLPT N3 competency
  • Familiarity with games or anime is an advantage
  • Excellent schedule management and multi-tasking skills
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail
  • Sensitive to cultural and linguistic nuances
  • Open to working on some weekends/public holidays for company events (if any)
  • Open to traveling overseas for business trips when required
