Overview:

The role of Senior Mechanical Project Manager involves overseeing and managing the mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale development and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of mechanical systems for new developments by planning, designing, executing, testing, and commissioning works.
  • Collaborate with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that project requirements are met in terms of quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Review and provide technical input on mechanical design drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Coordinate project resources, budgets, and schedules to achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Supervise site teams and ensure adherence to safety standards, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote effective communication by preparing technical submissions, project reports, and relevant documentation for client approval.
  • Address technical issues on-site and offer engineering guidance to project teams as required.
  • Support management in developing business strategies and expanding our services when needed.
  • Undertake other duties related to project execution as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record in HVAC, ACMV, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary systems, or large-scale building services.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Hands-on experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders and complex mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in Singapore.
  • Able to lead teams, manage contractors, and coordinate across disciplines effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
