Electrical Propulsion Researcher Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Propulsion Researcher to join our team at SIT. As a key member of the research team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality research projects focused on electrical propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital twins of electrical power system architectures using real-time simulation environments such as OPAL-RT and/or Typhoon HIL.
  • Design and develop intelligent energy management systems (EMS) controllers for optimal operation and coordinated control of e-vessel microgrids.
  • Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and real-time simulation studies to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics, drives, control algorithms, optimization techniques, and optimal energy management algorithm development.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, drives, and control is highly preferred.
