Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laser technology and experience in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for the production line, maintaining quality, reliability, and cycle time standards of the current laser build process, and continuously improving current production methods using knowledge of product design, materials, and parts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (BEng) or its equivalent with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Photonics or a related manufacturing field. Possessing technical expertise pertaining to Manufacturing, Assembly & Test Processes for mechanical assemblies, PCBA, and optical components is essential.

A Strong problem-solving skills and excellent knowledge in Six Sigma DMAIC approach, Lean principles, DOE, SPC, FMEA, GR&R, and other quality improvement tools are also required. Certification as a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills are also necessary. Self-directed and able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes for sustaining the manufacture of existing Laser products as well as the introduction of new products.
  • Maintain quality, reliability, and cycle time standards of the current laser build process.
  • Continuously improve current production methods using knowledge of product design, materials, and parts.
  • Take responsibility for electronic travelers, assembly, and process methods, and bills of materials.
  • Work with quality, reliability, and supply chain teams to improve product performance.
Requirements:
