Laser Production Specialist

**Job Summary:**

This role is focused on manufacturing lasers and partnering with the manufacturing team to establish efficient production lines.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Qualify active and passive optical components, develop system performance models, and benchmark test procedures.
  • Support production activities by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance to manufacturing technicians.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to enhance production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe and productive work environment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in laser processing, manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with laser systems, optics, and motion control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
