Compliance Advisor Role

We seek a seasoned Compliance Advisor to support business growth and maintain resilience in Singapore. This role will play a critical part in advising on regulatory requirements, contributing to business strategies, and promoting process enhancements.

The Compliance Advisor will provide expert guidance on regulatory matters for the FICC business regionally, focusing on Commodities. They will assess risks in existing and proposed activities, initiate and implement process enhancements as needed, manage regulatory updates, and liaise with global compliance counterparts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on compliance matters for the FICC business regionally, with a focus on Commodities
  • Assess regulatory and compliance risks in existing and proposed business activities
  • Initiate, coordinate, and implement process enhancements as needed
  • Manage regulatory updates, developments, and inquiries in the region
  • Liaise with global compliance counterparts to communicate APAC issues and stay informed on global initiatives
  • Review new products and initiatives from a compliance perspective
  • Support the design, development, and ongoing operation of the compliance program
  • Prepare and deliver compliance training materials across Asia
  • Draft and manage the rollout of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of experience within a securities firm, bank, or equivalent financial institution in the Asia Pacific region, with experience in FICC products
  • Strong familiarity with FICC business and related regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High attention to detail and inquisitive mindset
