Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented professional to join our quality assurance team as an Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in testing switchboards/panels. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in all aspects of the job, from inspection to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect outgoing parts and incoming subcontracted parts based on inspection procedures and specifications.
  • Perform Incoming Process Inspections.
  • Keep quality records and organize quality data.
  • Report any quality problems to the QA Manager and relevant supervisors for action.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all quality-related activities.
  • Approve the rejection of parts that do not meet quality standards.
  • Release good parts for storage and delivery to customers.
  • Perform routine tests and checks on switchboards completed in the workshop.
  • Test and commission switchboards on vessels or onsite to meet customer needs.
  • Handle warranty claims and quality complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Conduct official tests on switchboards that need to be witnessed by surveyors or consultants, and possibly customers.
  • Assist the Manager with quality responsibilities and meeting quality goals.
  • Ensure the QA Department is clean and organized at all times.
  • Adhere to safety rules when performing any task.
  • Utilize calibrated instruments for inspection purposes.
  • Identify and implement solutions to prevent product issues.
  • Verify that solutions are working effectively and being applied.
  • Manage the processing and delivery of nonconforming products until issues are resolved.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (strictly electrical).
  • Prefer 2 years of QA experience in the marine or industrial field.
  • Experience in testing switchboards/panels is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work onboard the vessel, and travel occasionally.
