Job Summary

  • This is an opportunity to lead and drive the improvement process in a factory environment.

Description

  • The role of Manufacturing Excellence Manager involves coordinating and driving factory initiatives to develop, implement and maintain sustainable improvements, cost reduction and competitiveness whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • You will ensure and optimize the use of resources through the identification and elimination of losses.
  • As a center of expertise, you will disseminate, guide and implement focused improvement methodologies in the market.
  • You will serve as Factory Goal Alignment (GA) Pillar specialist and be responsible for training, coaching and assessing people within the factory on GA practices.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support teams in TPM activities on the shopfloor.
  • Coach pillar leaders and members.
  • Promote and support cross-fertilisation of ideas, knowledge, standards and improvements.
  • Coordinate support from external consultants if applicable.
  • Motivate and empower people through positive attitude and stimulate change in traditional mindset.
  • Integration of pillars.
  • Coordination with master pillar leaders and TPM coordinators.
  • Consistent measuring, monitoring and improvement of factory standards while safeguarding assets.
  • Ensure implementation of best practices as defined in HPF BiC Repositories and Globe Business Excellence.
  • Optimise use of systems to maintain and improve competitiveness.
  • Leadership of projects for improvements.
  • Report and validation of project results.
  • Training and methodological support.
  • Technical support for production including using industrial performance tools to ensure successful troubleshooting and debottlenecking of process flow related to equipment.
  • Responsible to implement safety and environment practices in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead a group of people.
  • Intermediate knowledge of TPM or similar continuous improvement methodology.
  • Good understanding of business needs.
  • Exposure to implementing continuous improvement and employee involvement techniques.
  • Implementation experience of TPM.
  • Problem solving techniques.
  • Change management.
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills.
