Job Title: Safety and Environmental Assurance Manager

Overview:
This role involves ensuring that all contracts awarded meet the required workplace safety and environmental performance standards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects in compliance with all applicable legislative safety, health, and environmental requirements in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environmental system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and manage electronic Permit to Work (ePTW) systems as required by clients, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and implement a Workplace Safety and Health program for new workers, including identification systems for qualified personnel and operators, to minimize risks and hazards.
  • Attend SHE coordination meetings, plan work sequences, identify incompatible works and risks/hazards, and develop site maps for delivery and storage improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Handle near-miss, accident, and incident reporting, and propose remedial measures to prevent recurrence, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage Project Safety, Health, and Environment Systems (SHES), including monthly reports, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline, demonstrating strong technical expertise.
  • WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or higher is highly desirable, showcasing advanced knowledge in the field.
  • Minimum 10 years post-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer experience with MOM is highly desired, indicating significant industry experience.
  • Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA is highly desired, highlighting expertise in environmental management.
  • Relevant work experience in railway projects is preferred, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in different project environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions practically and understandably, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, enabling successful team management and stakeholder engagement.
