We are a money broking firm seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Settlement Officer - Trade Input and Checking. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely input of trades and trade confirmations for all products, including intercompany trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely input of trades and trade confirmations for all products, including intercompany trades.
  • Prepare and send trade notifications via MarkitWire and Reuters Trade Notification Service (RTNS).
  • Ensure that all qualifying trades input for benchmark calculations for SOR, THB Spot, and SGD Spot are in accordance with the SOR Code of Conduct.
  • Liaise and rectify discrepancies with internal and/or external parties on trades and trade confirmations.
  • Check daily trade confirmations from agents.

Trade Summary and Reporting

  • Send daily trade summary to banks.
  • Send daily brokerage report to management.
  • Prepare and send monthly exchange rates to banks.
  • Check and send monthly invoices to banks.
  • Liaise and rectify discrepancies with internal and/or external parties on monthly invoices.

Systems and Setup

  • Setup new accounts and input all static data, such as customer details, settlement instructions, and brokerage rates.
  • Update any changes in the static data of existing customers.
  • Liaise and rectify discrepancies with internal and/or external parties on brokerage agreement-related matters.
  • Interact with external and/or internal parties on setup and/or update traders and/or trading information for RTNS and Markitwire.
  • Ensure daily trades reconcile to the NBA system.

Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure compliance to the SOR Code of Conduct by ABS and any applicable law.
  • Prepare audit reports.
  • Perform any other ad hoc assignments by management.

Requirements

  • At least GCE O level.
  • Preferably some experience working in a settlement department.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to work outside normal office hours.
  • Comfortable communicating with brokers (confirming details and queries).
  • Good with details.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Able to work on public holidays.
