Maintenance Supervisor

  • The primary objective of this role is to oversee and lead a team of mechanical supervisors and contractors in the execution of plant maintenance, modifications, and construction activities. This requires ensuring that all work is completed in a timely, safe, and high-quality manner without disrupting plant operations.
  • Effective coordination with plant operators and other maintenance teams is necessary to execute maintenance and modification works safely while maintaining the integrity of facilities.
  • The Maintenance Supervisor will conduct mechanical studies and modifications of plant facilities according to technical specifications and business requirements.
  • Investigations on plant equipment issues will be conducted, findings evaluated, and countermeasures recommended to prevent recurrence.
  • Training for staff and contractors will be conducted to enhance skills and competency levels.
  • Response to plant emergency calls and resolution of mechanical issues within tight schedules are essential responsibilities.
  • Implementation and maintenance of management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SS651 standards will be performed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and procurement, to execute maintenance projects.
  • Manage and develop a team of skilled technicians and craftsmen to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
  • Identify and prioritize capital expenditures for maintenance-related projects.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, including materials, labor, and overtime expenses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance of mechanical facilities in oil, petrochemical, or power industries.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing static and rotating equipment, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, agitators, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
