We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist to join our team at the Asian School of the Environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher to build a world-class research programme and contribute to our ambitions to have societal and environmental impact in Singapore and the surrounding region.

The successful candidate will teach within ASE at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and demonstrate the potential to develop their own research leadership in Volcanology.

ASE is a diverse, interdisciplinary school that integrates geoscience, ecology, and social science in order to examine environmental challenges in Asia and globally. We collaborate closely with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, and other schools in NTU's College of Science.

ASE has state-of-the-art teaching facilities and research laboratories, including experimental facilities, access to high performance computers, geochemical and geophysical analytical facilities, and general-purpose laboratories.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in Volcanology or closely related fields
  • Impacted, independent research experience in the field of volcanology
  • A strong interest in working with other faculty within the Asian School of the Environment and within the region
