A Research Assistant position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support research work on water sample analysis using various bioassays and perform routine laboratory techniques - (water sample preparation, reagent preparation, reporter assays etc.).- Conduct assays on emerging contaminants and environmental samples.- Prepare and report data for work done- Support laboratory procurement, inventory, maintenance, and organization.- Assist in daily operational, administrative, and logistics duties related to the research activities.- Support existing research personnel on bioassays in the in environmental research

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, or other related science/life science disciplines.- Knowledge and experience on molecular & cellular assays (eg. bioimaging, cell culture, reporter assays, Immunostaining, ELISA, PCR)- Knowledge and experience in operating research instruments (eg. fluorescence microscopes, confocal microscopes, real-time PCR, multi-mode readers, cell analyzer) is highly preferred- Experience in high throughput assays and workflow is a plus- Experience in research projects is a plus- Good communication skills & team player.- Highly driven, organized & able to work independently
