Job Title: Senior EHS Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EHS Engineer to join our team at People Profilers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures, and conducting risk assessments and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including Singapore Standards and Code of Practice.
  • Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and industrial hygiene and environmental samplings to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
  • Manage EHS incident and non-conformance investigations and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Organize and conduct EHS audits, trainings, and meetings to increase employee awareness and knowledge.
  • Establish and manage EHS objectives and targets, and develop programs for continual improvement.
  • Contractor management and oversight of in-house and SDM activities.
  • Develop and implement safety case and mitigative measures for safety-critical events in major hazard industries.
  • Establish good communication with all levels and functions within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience handling safety responsibilities within an HSE department.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the oil or petrochemical industry, preferably on Jurong Island.
  • Registered WSH Officer with MOM and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office and experience with ISO14001/SS651 (ISO45001) management systems.
  • Knowledgeable in understanding and interpreting P&ID drawings.
