Electrical Power System Lead

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power System Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of advanced energy technologies.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of power system design, integration, and high-level oversight of complex electrical engineering projects. You will act as a key technical authority, mentor to junior engineers, and a client-facing subject matter expert.

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of battery management systems and advanced energy technologies
  • Conduct complex power system studies, including load flow, protection coordination, and stability analyses
  • Oversee system integration efforts for energy storage and power distribution systems
  • Provide high-level technical guidance throughout project life cycles from proposal to commissioning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete solutions
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including specifications, reports, and design packages
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutions
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and serve as a technical reviewer for engineering deliverables

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems. You should also have experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD, ETAP, PSSE, or MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Masters/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems engineering or energy technology development
  • Proven experience in battery management systems and/or energy storage system integration
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and stakeholders
