Job Title: Biomass Transformation Expert

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead at least one project under supervision of the Principal Investigator.
  • Develop a well-justified approach to achieve a goal, once a problem statement and/or a research scope is defined by the PI and you.
  • Execute the plan experimentally and interpret the data critically.
  • Report to the PI proactively and take the initiative to propose changes to the plan when the project faces a technical challenge.
  • Draft manuscripts and attend conferences to publicize the project findings.
  • Support other team members and train junior colleagues.
  • Draft research proposals together with the PI.

Qualifications:

A well-qualified candidate should possess the following qualities:

  • Be passionate about research.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
  • Be an expert in chemical conversion of natural and synthetic polymers, and/or catalysis.
  • Command both spoken and written English at a professional level.
  • Be a good team player.
