Job Description

As a leading figure in the field of biomass valorization, you will be responsible for spearheading at least one project under the supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI).

The scope of this project involves the transformation of biomass into advanced materials through various methods.

  • You will need to develop a well-justified approach to achieve the project's objectives, taking into account the problem statement and/or research scope defined by the PI and yourself.
  • Execution of the plan experimentally, coupled with critical interpretation of data, is crucial for this role.
  • Regular reporting to the PI, as well as proactive proposal of changes to the plan when faced with technical challenges, is essential.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for drafting manuscripts, attending conferences, and supporting other team members and training junior colleagues.

Qualifications

A highly qualified candidate should possess the following qualities:

  1. Passion for research
  2. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
  3. Expertise in chemical conversion of natural and synthetic polymers, and/or catalysis
  4. Proficiency in both spoken and written English at a professional level
  5. Ability to work effectively as a team player
