Key Food Service Role

This position involves working as a key member of our hotel service crew. As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer-focused service under the direction of a senior operations manager or supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with superiors regarding guest comments and other relevant information.
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Attend daily briefings and meetings as scheduled.
  • Participate in training sessions as scheduled.
  • Deliver high-quality food and beverage service in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Prepare for service by ensuring all necessary items are ready.
  • Carry out effective service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Upsell beverages while maintaining responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Promote cocktails to guests.
  • Store food and beverage stock according to hotel procedures.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food and beverage to guest tables.
Accountability:

As a member of our service crew, you will work closely with the senior operations manager or supervisor to promote a positive work culture around our core values. You will also demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely within guidelines.

Your responsibilities may vary based on location, time, and day.

You will report directly to the senior operations manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Holds a High School diploma or equivalent in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit required.
  • Able to read and write English fluently.

Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with customers, employees, and third parties.
