Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong engineering underwriting expertise and SME Property & Casualty knowledge to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwriting & Portfolio Management: Review, evaluate, and approve engineering and SME P&C risks within delegated authority, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines, profitability targets, and risk appetite.
  • Client & Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, and provide technical insurance advice to meet client needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate underwriting matters, claims, and policy wording recommendations.
  • Staff Development: Supervise, mentor, and coach junior underwriters, enhancing their technical skills, product knowledge, and market understanding.
  • Operational Improvement: Participate in company-level projects to improve underwriting processes, implement effective credit control and bad debt recovery, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of departmental efficiency.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives.

Interested candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, minimum 3 years' experience in the general insurance industry, and relevant insurance qualifications. Strong technical knowledge in engineering underwriting and SME P&C insurance is also required.
