Job Description

The Industry Transformation Department is part of a Training and Transformation Group that supports companies in workforce and workplace training and business transformation.

Industry Officers drive transformation at companies or sectoral level to help workers upgrade in parallel with their companies' transformations.

They assist companies develop a viable business strategy, and roadmap to drive business growth using a Road-mapping Methodology.

Officers partner Unions and businesses to set up Company Committees with the aim to upskill and reskill employees so they can transform and thrive in the industry landscape.

Officers work closely with Industrial Relations Officers, Unions and the Labour Movement family to assist companies translate business strategies into actionable outcomes like technology adoption, job redesign, and skills upgrading.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Driving project implementation and identifying possible interventions to achieve good outcomes for businesses and workers.
  2. Developing workforce and business transformation strategies to address current and future needs.
  3. Translating workforce and business transformation strategies into actionable plans to achieve better worker outcomes and business growth.
  4. Identifying resource partners for workplace safety and health, technology, training, and placement needs.
  5. Analysing jobs and skills gaps and recommending interventions to address these gaps.
Requirements

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in area of workforce or business transformation, reskilling, facilitation.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strategic Thinker, Analytical, Self-driven and Results Oriented.
