Job Title: Wellness Coach

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Elderly Services, you will be responsible for implementing health and fitness initiatives and programmes that align with our objectives of delaying, reversing and managing frailty.

 

You will participate in designing health and fitness programmes and provide health coaching that supports healthy ageing in the community.

 

The job involves:

  • Effective planning and operations of the Gym Tonic programme
  • Participating in designing health and fitness programmes and providing health coaching
  • Designing and implementing health-related programmes to augment the Gym Tonic programme
  • Supporting the Senior Manager to review and align programmes to our objectives and effectiveness
  • Managing programme registration, attendance, scheduling, utilisation and membership promotion
  • Participating in the design, development and implementation of health and fitness programmes and their sustainability
  • Supporting documentation and tracking of data for programme monitoring and evaluation
  • Conducting 12-week progressive Gymtonic programme with pre-admission assessments to post-assessments and reports
  • Educating and motivating the elderly to improve their overall health literacy and advising on exercise
  • Developing protocols and training materials for health coaching
  • Maintaining state-of-the-art hydraulic fitness equipment for safety and efficiency and implementing infection control and compliance procedures
  • Coordinating with other organisations for programme execution, research initiatives and communication and feedback management from stakeholders
  • Supporting development of community outreach plans
  • Handling public inquiries and undertaking any other projects or duties assigned by the Director

 

Requirements:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Precise attention to detail
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions within the remit of the role
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively when confronted with a new situation
  • Confidentiality and discretion
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement plans and programs, develop and improve processes and procedures
  • Proficient in English and able to communicate in dialects with non-English/Mandarin speaking clients
  • Knowledgeable, energetic and passionate about working with seniors
  • Strong team player, resourceful and systematic

 

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am to 1pm. Flexible to work additional hours as required based on operational needs.
