Child Trauma Specialist

A Child Trauma Specialist is required to provide psychological and emotional support to women, children, and their families in recovery from traumatic experiences.

The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing hospital-based clinical work and community project work to enhance the capacity and capability of Singapore's community to provide post-crisis/trauma psycho-emotional support and interventions.

In this role, you will conduct specialised assessments and interventions for women, children, and families with trauma-related concerns. You will also contribute to the growth and development of the field of child trauma in Singapore through training, talks, and community projects.

  • Hospital-based work: Conducting assessments and interventions for patients with trauma-related concerns in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Community-based project work: Providing training, talks, and community projects on child trauma and support.

Professional Development:

Clinical training and supervision will be provided to develop your skills and expertise in trauma work. This includes developing your knowledge of evidence-based practices, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), effective interpersonal skills, and good psychological report writing skills.
  • Possess relevant qualifications to obtain registration as a full member with a recognised professional body.
  • Relevant clinical and supervision experience.
  • Past clinical experience in child and/or trauma work is desirable but not a prerequisite.
  • At least 4 years of relevant clinical experience in providing clinical supervision is desirable for Senior Psychologist position.
